The MCRI was a register, maintained by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, of the names of mortgage brokers subscribing to the Mortgage Code. The register is not kept any more, as since 31 October 2004, the advice and sale of mortgages is regulated by the Financial Services Authority and the Mortgage Code no longer applies.
